From Taiwan come this rare, high altitude tea tea grown in the Sun Moon Lake region. The T-18 cultivar, also known as Ruby Red 18, is a byproduct of crossing the large leaf Ashamu varietal, found in Myanmar (Burma), with the wild tea trees of southern Taiwan. This tea, responding to the lack of rain, develops a complex character that encompasses wood, malt, menthol and dried fruits notes. An exceptional and rare delight that is best appreciated over time. 100g (3.53 oz)
An excellent tea for brewing using the Gong Fu brewing method using a Gaiwan or Xixing tea pot. 15 to 45 second steeps at 205 degrees.
